Please note, this test is performed by LabCorp and will not require a physical test kit to complete your draw. DHA Laboratory will send you a list of local LabCorp Patient Service Centers, patient prep instructions and a requisition form via email. Please print the requisition form and bring that in with you to LabCorp to complete your draw. The ABO Grouping w/ Rho(D) Typing is a blood test performed in order to determine an individual’s blood type. This is the most comprehensive and cost effective analysis for determining blood type.

The following groups are determined through this analysis:

• Group A – Has only A antigen on red blood cells

• Group B – Has only B antigen on red blood cells

• Group AB – Both A and B antigens on red blood cells

• Group O – Neither A nor B antigens on red blood cells, however both A and B antibodies are present in plasma
