DHA Laboratory will send you a list of local LabCorp Patient Service Centers, patient prep instructions and a requisition form via email. Please print the requisition form and bring that in with you to LabCorp to complete your draw. AFP testing’s most important usage is in cancer management for testicular based cancer. The elevation of serum AFP is very closely associated with nonseminomatous testicular cancer. When monitoring nonseminomatous testicular cancer, the AFP value is generally measured with hCG. Monitoring AFP clearance after treatment is an indicator of treatment progress.
